Wilson Public Relations today announced PR Account Executive Audrey Shelton has been elected to the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Memphis Chapter Board of Directors. Shelton will serve her 12-month term as the organization’s hospitality chair.
The PRSA Memphis Chapter is a network of Mid-South public relations, communications, strategy, media, and ethics and compliance professionals. Members are active in a variety of organizations, corporations, agencies, media outlets, educational institutions, and independent agencies or freelancing.
“Audrey brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to this role, and we are honored to have her represent our firm among such esteemed peers,” said Wilson. “As a former board member, I’m excited for Wilson PR to continue our involvement in and with PRSA Memphis, enabling us to help move the industry forward, in Memphis and beyond. Shelton joined Wilson Public Relations in August 2021. Her background in a variety of industries, including education, nonprofit, and corporate communications, lends itself to a diverse range of clients. As the agency’s PR Account Executive, she manages social media and media outreach efforts of the firm, in addition to supporting Founder and Chief PR Officer Beth Wilson on client projects. She holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Middle Tennessee State University and earned her master’s degree from the University of Memphis.
