Wilson Public Relations Founder + Chief PR Officer Beth Wilson is a proud member of the Business Journals Leadership Trust, an invitation-only network of influential business leaders, executives and entrepreneurs in your community.
For leaders, managing time effectively is often seen as the key to productivity and success. However, time management alone may not be enough to sustain the high levels of productivity and performance that are necessary for long-term success.
Many leaders overlook the importance of energy management, which involves managing your physical, emotional and mental energy levels to maximize performance. Below, 16 Business Journals Leadership Trust members explain why energy management should be a priority for leaders and provide some practical strategies to help you better manage your energy and achieve your goals.
What Beth had to say:
Incorporate mindful practices into your routine.
Time blocking is essential. The same, really, could be said for managing energy. When adding more mindful practices to protect that energy, consider how they could become part of your routine. Start small, just as you would when learning a new skill, training for a big race or doing anything else that requires dedicated effort. Making little changes every day or even once a week will move the needle.
